After a long Bears season it's hard to believe that a year ago they were still playing. But this year we have San Francisco at home against the Giants and New England at home against the Ravens.
Even though I just don't trust Alex Smith to have another game like he did against the Saints, the defense has to many play makers. I'm taking the 2 1/2 point favorites San Fran 17-14.
In the AFC game Tom Brady to Gronk scares me a little but I think Flacco finds the power of the handlebars and gets the offense back in gear with the help of the Patriots terrible defense, and Ray Rice running wild. I like the over in a shoot out Ravens 28-24
So this weekend may prove the old saying to be true: offense puts butts in seats but defense wins championships!!
While I agree with most of ur points I believe giants will win. The reason is simple 9ers can't stop the likes of Tuck, Osi and Pierre-Paul. Not a chance Alex Smith can handle that kinda pressure. Saints have a well known bad d so I think it's a blowout.

49ers 17
NFC- I'm thinking Giants cover the spread, but not by much. Could come down to a last minute Tynes field goal. Could be a defensive battle, but THe Giants are more well rounded team and are HOT coming into this match-up. If Eli can get over his butterflies "stomach virus" I think it's a no brainer.
ReplyDeleteOtt B.S. call of the game- 49ers give up zero sacks to the Giants pass rush and Giants total rushing yards will be less than 60 yards
AFC- Ravens will be able to keep it close. I have them covering the spread at least and potentially winning this match-up. I agree with Ed Reed in that Flacco is a worthless satue of a QB, but Ray Rice torches the Patriots in a career game.
Ott B.S. call of the game- Tom Brady gets sacked 5 times while Gronk is held under 100 yards receiving
